thanks..I deeply connected with the thought of evolving personal taste, from preferring complexities to simplicity. Same here. I too find myself gravitating towards simpler pieces now. Even textures or too many elements,  feel like an overload at times, or a complex title. I feel it is reflection of a similar pursuit in personal life, as we strive towards making our inner life less complex, we do so organically in art, and elsewhere. Dark aesthetics after a point, long after catharsis can become comfortable and an entrapment, like victimhood..Simple life is art. Good heart is real beauty, rest is transitory.
